Paid tools like Remove.bg, Unscreen and similar services charge per minute of video to remove backgrounds. This tool uses MediaPipe Selfie Segmentation — Google's production-grade person segmentation model — running at 30 frames per second on WebGL2 directly in your browser tab. No upload, no per-minute pricing, no account.
2つのモード
- Webcam (live) — start your camera and the background is removed in real time as you speak. Hit record to capture a clip as WebM. Great for creating green-screen footage for TikTok, YouTube or Zoom backgrounds.
- Upload a video — drop an MP4 or WebM, click Process, and we go through the video frame by frame replacing the background. Download the result when done.
背景オプション
- Green screen (#00ff00) — the universal chroma key color. Import the output into CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or any other editor and key out the green.
- Custom color — pick any solid color from a color picker.
- Custom image — upload a JPG or PNG and we tile/stretch it behind you as the new background.
- Blur — softens the original background (similar to Teams/Zoom background blur) while keeping your face sharp.
- Transparent — outputs a WebM with an alpha channel. Only useful if you're importing into a tool that supports VP9 transparency (most video editors do).
MediaPipe Selfie Segmentation について
MediaPipe is a production framework developed by Google, used in Google Meet, Pixel cameras and many Android apps. The Selfie Segmentation model runs at 30fps on a mobile GPU and correctly handles hair, loose clothing, glasses and transparent objects — dramatically better than simple background-subtraction algorithms. The model file (~10 MB) downloads automatically on first use and is cached by your browser.

Your webcam feed and video files never leave your device. All AI inference happens on your own CPU/GPU via WebGL2. We do not store video, we do not log usage, we do not transmit any media data.
ブラウザ要件
Requires a browser with WebGL2 support — Chrome 56+, Firefox 51+, Safari 15+, Edge 79+. For the webcam mode, the page must be served over HTTPS (which it is on freelabtools.com). Older iOS Safari versions may have performance limitations.
